How Slowwwwww can you go?

Well I have definitely narrowed *MY* problem down to the quick reply section. When I put in a quick reply it sits there forever, but when I actually "post reply" it works like a charm. Kinda doubt there's anything wrong client side here, but I won't rule it out entirely till I mess with it some more.

I have the same quick reply problem when I'm at work but not when I'm at home.
NAM has been super slow and at times inaccessible over the past few days. Anybody know more than I do? (I have no information about the lagging functionality.)
This post failed four times before it finally popped up in Advanced. It's been 10 minutes and the page is still loading.

I see this a lot on this site.
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

Network Timeout
The server at www.northamericanmotoring.com is taking too long to respond.
The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply.
* Could the server be experiencing high demand or a temporary outage? Try again later.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.
* Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance.

A further update.
For those wondering what had happened to the site Friday and this weekend....
Early on Thursday last week (PST) our websites encountered an attack, one which is often referred to as a “DDOS” (distributed denial-of-service) attack.
While our network is setup to handle very substantial traffic (it deals with over 50 million visitors each month), as has been seen by other large internet sites (Twitter, Facebook, Google et. al.) such a large scale attack will cause connection difficulties. In this we were no different, and it wasn’t until sometime on the weekend where we were able to implement a successful resolution to the issue.
As part of the implementation of the resolution you may have encountered some issues with the site and its functionality, we are working through each of those items, and if you come across an issue, if you could please post it in the help forum to ensure that we have seen it, it would be appreciated.
We have been (and continue to) work around the clock until all the issues are resolved, our apologizes for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
Adrian – Internet Brands.
