No you aren't missing anything. There was a mutual agreement and as part of that the name was changed. In the future this will bring some additional benefits to the site. Furthermore after dealing with this for 8-9 months I don't view the resolution as rolling over at all

All you can do is trust that Mark did what is in his best interest as well as the best interest of the site in both the short and long term.

The entire MCO community helped put pressure on BMW to settle; let's hope that provided leverage for Mark (or at the very least provided some coverage). The bottom line? We may never know. And that's ok.

Once Mark says it's over, it is over. We are in no position (in terms of interest or knowledge) to criticize the deal.
