I don't know for sure but from the instructions I read on another site that has itrader I think it is an Ebay-like rating/feedback system. At the other site you can only leave a rating if you include a url showing the transaction you are rating.

Avoid dealing with me -- I have a rating of 0%

One more serious question if the powers-that-be read this:
can we use this retroactively? in other words, as long as I provide the URL, can I rate sellers/buyers with whom I've done business before?

In a nutshell it is an ebay like rating tool that we are about to implement for member to member transactions.

It's not live yet, we did the initial testing last night. A few little bugs to work out and some documentation on how to use the tool effectively and it goes live. Should only be a day or two.

eager2own - thats still being decided. How far back do you think we should allow?

Will NAM be sending out an announcement about this new thing? I am surprised that it just showed up without any news about.

You have no items to count, so the percentage would have to be zero

Yes there will be an announcement. This is one of those items that once in place shows to all even if not turned on yet.

I guess that, as long as the poster is willing to dig up the URL, one should be able to go back as far back as desired. . . why not? The more feedback that's captured, the more accurate the tool.

Edit: one argument against not going back is that "it's not fair to rate transactions before people were notified of the system's implementation" -- but frankly, that's like saying: "Gee, I wouldn't have f***ed you on that transaction had I known that one day we'd have a rating system."

We were tossing about going back to the 1st of the year. Longer than 6 months and memories get hazy.

he he, I got in trouble, I did about 3 people before they shut me down.....

It is a great way to keep track of deals that have been done on here. We use a very similar system on PBnation.com and you live by your feedback. most people wont even respond to someone that has no feedback or just joined.

but what I have noticed here, is that we are a much more civilized community and deals seem to go smooth for the most part. I'm PROUD to be part of such a trustworthy community!

so only 1 interaction and it is a good one would put you at 100%

I think going back (retro) may skew the %s ...
Most will remember a bad interaction for a LONG time ... the good ones or OK ones are just that or forgoten

If we trade custom grille badges, this can be used to build rep.
