Vendor has Virus / Trojan????

I just clicked on site Vendor "Aesthetic Creations" and my computer picked up TWO harmful items - A "Trojan" and a "Virus".

My Virus software picked it up (McAfee) and I had to deleted it manually.

What's up with that?

Does it give a date the virus was on the computer? Perhaps it was on your computer before hand and maybe it just displayed you had then at the time you clicked...

Kinda a coincidence type of thing...

IDK.... Just an idea..

When you click on any banner on NAM it is a matched to a URL where your browser will take you. There is no download happening to your machine where a viral payload could be delivered.

In the past when I've seen things like this mentioned it was due to a "false positive" indicated by the anti-virus software or there was some form of adware running on the machine that caused the anti-virus to alert you.

deja vu on the virus alert from aesthetic creations

hopefully the site owner will pick up on the fact that this is the 2nd such thread in the last week, and have a peek...

search on Aesthetic to find the other thread...

i'm not at all sure their server is hosting any malware, but apparently something is - as has been pointed out there are a variety of servers that provide various content to pages from that site - including ads and other services...

So is the warning popping up after you get to the AC web site?

If so, let me know and I'll let Mike know so he can look into it.

Thanks!
