Any chance of a "favorite forums" list for users to have. There are just SO MANY to go through, and all apparently well used and such, but it is not the easiest to quickly check all the forums I'd like to. I guess if not I'll just make myself a html page with all the links on it for me lol

 

I believe that is going to be possible when the new forum software is brought up, but until that time you won't be able to custom select the favorite forums.

When I came to MCO there was everything to read. I had to read every thread and every word. As you find your niche you’ll lean to “Performance” or “Beneath the Bonnet” or whatever. Read all you can and you’ll fall into a forum you like and glean great information form all the others. You may even have loads of fun along the way.

Remember that it's Mark Ferguson (mferguson) that created MCO and makes this all possible for us. I just visit here like the rest of you - ok, a little more frequently than some, but not nearly as frequently as others.

Hope that the favorites patch is really cool. I'll keep an eye out for anything that comes my way as I admin several forums for other things. None nearly this active, lol.

Thanks for those who make this possible goes w/o saying, I say GRATZ for being so successfull in it as is evidenced by the traffic that makes it so fard for me to follow any of my threads and to the expansion of the forums that makes me greatly desire the "favorites" gizmo that I mentioned at the start of this thread.

BTW LOVE the ranking system.

This functionality is coming (hopefully soon). You should be able to set up subscriptions to the forums you read along with marking the forums that everything has been read...then when you return you will see where new messages have been posted. More information will be forthcoming as I get the migration strategy pinned down. Thanks!
