Had problems over the weekend from home, connected via Windstream. ("Server Timeout" messages.) However, mid-way through Monday, no issues. No issues since, either. I had also figured an IP changed, espically since it fixed itself pretty quickly..

I was aware of reports of connectivity problems over the weekend but given I needed some family time (and time to work on my Classic) and the fact that generally these issues work themselves out on their own due to DNS, firewall updates, etc. I didn't look into the reports in more detail until Monday.

All that said here is where we are....

I've provided our host with information from various users of the site and they have confirmed a routing problem outbound from our server. They are unsure what has caused it but they are investigating. Hopefully they will be able to provide me an update later today.

Thanks for your patience and sorry for making your withdrawal symptoms painful

I think you should reimburse us for our pain and suffering with some NAM swag.

Thanks for the update!

You know..... If someone gave me some insignificant swag, say a Red Mini Classic, that would go a long way in making up for the brutal suffering I'm going through. It would make up for it so well, that I'd even tell all these other whiners to shut up, get a life and go away... Oh well, no one's giving away Classic's I guess....

Thanks again, Mark!

Sorry...can't help you with that kind of giveaway Besides I haven't been able to drive it much lately because I need to replace the front wheel bearings. So...if I'm unresponsive this coming weekend its because I'm underneath the car getting a little computer-less R&R.

I've been unable to connect all day from work, we're on an SBC T1, I can get to any other site no problem, FWIW. I can connect fine from home in the evenings on Roadrunner. I just figured it was a morning server problem as noted in his other thread...........

I'm mad as well...our host is being less than helpful right now. I'll be calling with a rant to my account manager today.

Would an onslaught of emails from board members to support@theplanet.com or serversales@theplanet.com help?

Maybe something like "Gee whiz, I buy hosting for xxxx, and I don't think The Planet's support response is what my company is looking for."

Hurray! Its working! I hope this was a one time problem.... not that the planet hosting cares.

Thanks for the forums, Mark!

I haven't had access for days, but just now was able to get back in. My ISP is SBC in SoCal.

Whatever the problem was, I'm glad it seems to have been fixed. Just wanted to chime in on how widespread it seems to have been.
