HHFD633,

Have you been away from NAM for a while?

On February 18th, the embedded images in signatures were disabled. Signature images can now only be made with the "Upload Signature Picture" function, which electronically enforces a maximum size of 500x100 pixels and a maximum filesize of 30KB. This also means you can only have one image file. If you want to display more than one, you'll have to use an image editing program to combine them into one file.

When the change was made, everyone who had not yet converted their signature image to the uploaded signature function ended up with the long URLs of the (former) images in their signature instead. Including you.

To upload your signature image, go to the User CP and Edit Signature... and the upload feature is at the bottom (below the text box).

Alternatively, you can use the new "Sig-o-Matic" (on the Main Menu sidebar) which will also help you by automatically resizing a too-large picture to be within the set signature limits.

I think that all you have to do is re-start the sig-o-matic generator thing. Atleast, thats what I've done to change my sig image.

Ok LynnEl... here's what ya do
  • at the top of the page click "quick links", then "edit signature"
  • scroll down the page past "edit signature" to the area under "signature bar"
  • you will see an area under "upload signature picture"
  • if the image is storred on the net enter the image location beside the box titled "Enter URL to image:"
  • if the image is stored on you computer click the browse button beside "upload image from your computer" & find your pic so that the location appears in that box.
  • then scroll down a hair & click "save signature"
Tadaa you should have a new siggy. If that doesn't work make sure the image you are trying to use is not bigger than 500X100 or that the file size is not larger than 30KB (allthough I kinda thought the siggy thing would resize it for you but MBE not). Plus you cannot have any animation in your siggy file

I hope my novel has helped you in some way
