JWC tune on R53 MCS from local dealer?
Hey all, I have an '04 MCS with a 15% reduction SC pulley and a 2% reduction Crank pulley. I am getting some pretty bad pinging through the rpm range and wanted to install some JCW injectors to cure the pinging but I need the JCW tune after they are installed.
Has anyone had any success with the local dealer uploading the JCW tune? Or if not, maybe even a dealer in SoCal or Phoenix?
Thanks!

Just watch out...using just a bit of that leaded 100 octane racing fuel will kill your cats/cause your O2 sensors to read innacurately/fail....
Assuming you are stuck using that 90 octane CA/west coast fuel.....
East coast with 92/93 even 94 we seem to do fine with 17%....
Try a different gas station? Maybe you are getting more than 10% ethanol... More volume must be sprayed by the injectors to make the same HP...with the 17% the stock injectors are maxed out...add e10+...and might get worse.
I know folks that have JCW tunes...so dealers do do it....usually for folks with a relationship...
But some BMW shops also have the equipment....
Waymotorworks can do it on shipped ECU's...but for the $$, a canned tune in that situation makes more sense IMO.

Unfortunately we do have that wonderful 91 octane water so it doesn't help at all. Good info on the BMW dealer, if I strike out at the MINI dealer I can five them a shot. And yeah I thought about WMW but its $300 and I have to ship my ecu out so I'll have downtime that I can't afford.
Hopefully the dealer will come through.
