Looking for a set of black mirror caps to replace the chrome caps on my car now. PayPal is at the ready! inquire within...

 

You could plasti dip them in black then hit them with plasti dip glossifier. 2 cans at $8 a piece at Walmart. As a bonus, no rock chips on the paint. I spray a layer of glossifier on my chili red caps to prevent chipping and it works like a champ. Just a suggestion you might not have considered.

 

thanks for the advice, but given my experience with the finish quality of plastidip (and my neuroses) I'd rather have either an OE painted set or a fresh coat of real paint on a new primed set if none are available. I will wrap any new parts with clear bra.

 

I understand. I have taken to putting my plastidip in the sink with really hot water for about 10 minutes before applying and have found that really helps the finish quality. I got my primed caps from prestige mini on ebay for around $60 last year. Maybe they still have them.

I'm interested in the other black set. Recently acquired an R52 for my wife and she doesn't like the chrome caps.
