Count us in - but so far, I think we're the least lucky of the crowd, since most of the other Week 32'ers I've seen here since our Sully has to take the boat to Cali, then get trucked to Colorado. . .

I hope I'm in this week production. Not sure yet as I have no production date. We will see.

Call 866-ASK-MINI, give them your production number, and ask them what week your build is scheduled for. Your MA should also know.

If you guys want to join the August Production Groop (The few, the proud, the last of the '05's!) on the MINI2 site, here's the link:

Ask MINI couldn't tell me my production date when I called yesterday, but my MA could. Go figure. (Tranlsation - you might need to call you dealer.)

Still no info from the dealer or ask-mini on a production week or date. I'm starting to think that the convertibles do not get to production as soon as a coupe. I conformed that MINI has had my order since July 18th and it was a modification of a car that was already in the pipeline. MINI and the dealer still say I should get a status change sometime this week but nothing definite. As of right now I'm still on order, scheduled for production, no production date. I'm going to pester my MA again today after they open.

Th wife called ask mini this morning and they told her that our MINI would go into production this week, although they still did not give a date. Does that put me in week 31? Not for sure yet.

I'd wait to be sure you start this week, but yes, It would be W31 if B4 mext Monday (or do you start your weeks on Sundays? Seems that 'weekend' should be the end of the week to me)

Ok.. that was a better use of terms.. if I'm gonna anthromorphize the Mini I should at least use better terminology

So with that..

Concieved 5:23 7/28

Due 8/5

LOL

Oh the obsession.. the pain.. the joy.

Another call to ASK MINI has now given me a due date: AUG 10!
So, could it be feasible to have my MINI by Labor Day (Sept. 5), 3.75 weeks later?
I hope so! I can see myself cruising down the 7-mile bridge to Key West! Labor Day Keys Run Anyone?

Another call to Ask MINI moved me from week 31 to week 32. Maybe that's their way of telling me not to call so much??

Seriously, I've been told Week 32, then Week 31, then week 33, now back to Week 32. I think I'm just gonna drink some Boddington's and not worry about it.

Topless Silver Bullet scheduled

Well, I haven't come up with 'er real name, but a recent call to AskMini said my little Silver MCSC will be completed Aug 8. So I think that puts me in with the Week 32 crew.

Like UUNetBill, mine's coming to Schomp Mini in Denver, so that means a west-coast ship -- they prob. go through the Panama Canal, eh?

Now I have to put the rest of the garage in-order to make room for the new one -- selling off my '94 full-size Blazer (that'll be fun, with gas heading toward $2.50 again) and dealing w/my MG Midget. But it'll all be worth it in the end .

Looking forward to drives up Boulder Canyon & the Peak-to-Peak...

Delayed Production?

Just got an update from my MA. He says that the only new he has is that my MINI is scheduled for production this week. However, he says:

"It looks as if they have delayed some of the production. I will know more in a week or two."

Does anyone know anything about this delay? or is this just a ploy to get me off their back.

Droptop:

What did ASK-MINI say? Maybe it's just my MA at Braman Mini, but she doesn't have any more information that I've been able to get myself.

ASK-MINI is simply telling me that my car is scheduled to go into production this week but they do not have a date yet. So, basically the same thing.

Update

I guess I'm being pushed back for some reason. Two days ago my MA said I would be in production this week. Today I call ASK MINI and they said that I still have no production date but that it looks as if my car is scheduled for production during the week #33. That means my car will have been on order for 28+ days before going into production. I wonder what the difference is between my car and others who ordered at the same time but already have production dates and are in production? Maybe it is the options or something?

I believe they do them in batches by color. The HO's might've been pushed back because of a high demand for them, or some other color.

If they keep pushing you back like this, you might end up with an '06!

Also, I think most people have to wait more than a month from order to starting production. I did...
