This is actually a rare build having the English Leather seats, Chrono, LSD etc... I searched for several years for this combo (including HK sound) and NEVER found one. If I did not have a Mini in the stable right now I would consider taking this project on (making it new again & modding!)

You might want to consider hanging on to it and making it a "Garage Queen". One look at my Signature Line shows I have had several cases of "sellers remorse" and got back into the Mini community!!! These R53's, which are the best IMHO, are becoming harder and harder to find in the right color/config.

FYI - MINI had an extended warranty for this particular issue / rust location.....I realize high mileage and age, but saw plenty older MINI's make the cut ending up with complete new rear quarters installed......and you are correct, rust is somewhat superficial in nature.
