Anyone know of a front bra for a 2017 Clubman S? I've been striking out

After doing a 2500 mile trip this summer the front end might appreciate it

We actually bought one from the dealership for our 2004 Mazda 3. I started putting it on and quit in the middle of it because it was a PIA. Plus I read that after it gets wet it can mess up the paint because it stays wet forever underneath. What a lot of Mini owners do for rock ding prevention is a clear bra. Costs more obviously but you can't tell it's on there. Up to about the upper edge of the headlights.

I agree on the clear bra. I have Xpel on the Mini, the 435, and the Boxster. In addition to minimizing rock chips, bug guts and road crap wipe off the film much easier than they do from the paint.

A black cloth/vinyl bra will ruin your paint because it will flutter and vibrate and scuff the paint below. Plus, I agree with the Eeeeew statement above. :-)

Not one out yep for the F54 that I know of.

If you get lamin X clear and cut to fit, thats a good option and will not etch into the paint where the bra would touch. You would need one big clear roll.

Hey, my '67 Camaro had a black vinyl roof and, I believe, and 8-track, or maybe, just maybe it was a 4-track

My answer for the need to protect the car is leave it in the garage and drive a beater. My Countryman came with clear front protective covering which looks like crap and let a few stone chips bypass it.

I'm going to try some clear plastidip for use on a road trip. Paint on it isn't perfect so it will be my test of how well and easily it comes off.

1) you CAN buy a 'clear bra' that is for self application and temporary use .... some folks use this for long road trips ... some folks just buy several rolls of wide masking tape!

2) some folks who drag their car (MINI or other) behind their motorhome, like the old fashion bra as protection from rock hit generated by their own vehicle .....

my my ... some folks are so judgemental ..... frankly I'm already looking at a CD player as archaic .... I have not had a CD in the car since I bought it. Sirius all the way all the time ..... (PLEASE don't tell me about poor sound quality ... it sounds FINE to me)

Just a few important things to think about. If you want to truely protect your investment, consider the following.

The old style bra is not the way to go in my opinion. First and foremost, you need to remove it if the weather turns to rain or snow, unless you don't mind having your paint clearcoat ruined. I'm sure you don't want to remove it during you're trip. You'd also need to make sure you have a good coat of wax on it and make sure the car is washed prior to installing it.

The day I picked up my F54 JCW, I took it to my installer and had the entire hood, front bumper, front edge of the roof up to the front edge of the sunroof, mirror caps, A pillars and the bottoms of the doors covered. Since the hood is lower and more aerodynamic than our R60, the entire hood is better than a partial hood or you'll get chips where it's not covered. I get our MINI club discount which saved me $300 on the install. I also bought the headlight kit and installed it myself. All of the material have UV inhibiters which will prevevent sun damage too, most notably saving your headlights from that ugly discoloration which will happen over time.

The new generation clear bra materials are also self healing. You can Google the latest self healing materials to get a better understanding. I had EXPEL brand installed by a certified installer.

I had these in my 1988 Beemer 325i Installed a CD changer in it too. No bra though. Gotta draw the line somewhere.
