R50/53 What tires are you guys running on your daily driver

I've tried several different brands and models of sticky summer tires like the BFG G-Force and Michelin Super Sports....and although they all handled great in the summer, they were horrible as soon as the temperatures got cool. Also, after 10,000 miles on them, all of the "extreme performance summer" tires I tried all got really noisy after around 10,000 miles....and by 15,000 miles they were shot.
I got tired of the short life and noise of those sticky summer tires.....so I went with an all season tire...a HanKook Ventus V2 Concept, and I currently have around 15,000 miles on them...and they are great! For the type of driving I do, they are just as stocky as the Summer tires. They do better in the rain, they do better in the cold, and they are wearing very evenly...and have plenty of live left. The best thing, is that they are still very quiet.
Unless you are going to be doing some track days or autoX..I see no real need for the max performance summer tires....unless you like replacing them all the time.

I run Continental DW's for summer and they are a great tire at a great price. There are other stickier tires for a bit more money that last a little less but I've had these at full speed at Watkins Glen for two weekends and they have held really really well. I have dedicated winter tires from thanksgiving till Easter.

When I daily drove my Clubman I was running Continental DW-S and they were an amazing tire. Great all around performance and not total rubbish in the cold season or rain. The DW-S is the all-season version of the DW. It's a super popular tire in the MINI community and among other enthusiasts. I'm surprised it wasn't the tire of choice for the first few responses. I don't daily drive my R53. I wouldn't recommend Falken Azenis RT615 for a daily driver, but they're mighty fun.

Cooper Zeon RS-A are loud!
Not sure how many miles are on the tires as that's what was on the car when we bought it. Look like they are about half life now.
At first, the car was loud not though our focus was in quelling all the rattles, vibrations, and wind noise. Now that all the other noises except for a buzzing in the dash just left of the steering wheel, have been addressed, the tires have made their presence very known.
Suggest looking at something else. I hear the new BFG comp is good. Also don't count out the sumitomo brand. Had good experience with their HTR ZIII on a carerra.

I bought my 06 MCS in Nov. It has Continental DWS tires. Treadwear is 560 and I can't wait to get rid of them. Very hard tire. I will be putting on probably the Neogen by Nitto. Treadwear is 280. Or Potenza RE-71R with a 200 treadwear. No experience with them, I just want a softer tire. I will be very happy to change out the tires every couple years for a better driving experience.

I ran the Continental DWS for the first year of owning my car, and once they were worn out I switched to the Dunlop Direzza ZIIs for summer weather and a set of General Altima winters for the winter.
The DWS is a FANTASTIC all rounder, but isn't going to perform well in the winter, I still highly recommend a set of snow tires for winter driving.
What you choose as a tire is up to what you expect from the car, and what you're looking to spend on them.
But if you're thinking about running the PSSs I doubt you'd be upset, they are a great tire and for awhile were on a huge sale at tirerack.com. When my ZIIs are dead I will toss the idea up between the PSS and the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R.

My car is running 215/45R 17s on S-lite wheels.
I commute 208 miles round trip 4 days a week. Have had these on my car for 20k miles now without an issue. They are quiet, they ride well and the grip tremendously well. However, if I was doing a lot of track time I'm not sure they would be the best tire for that.
I also have these tires on my wife's Volvo and had them on the E46 330Ci I used to own.
