Running rich w/ P0108

So, normally I'd figure this out myself. But it has me at wits end.

Symptoms:
-Very rich smelling exhaust
-A lot of exhaust after fire when blipping the throttle to say rev match and down shift or heel-toe shift. Seriously sounds like a gunshot if I get aggressive with it. Pretty funny actually.
-reduced power and occasional bucking
-P0108 MAP sensor voltage high

SO. My initial thought was the TMAP on the intake manifold. Took it out and it looks like crap. Covered in oil and one of the leads on the actual sensor part aren't looking too good. Very black possibly burned.

Now I know this car has two map sensors. Would one of them being out, the tmap, cause these symptoms?

I'd do a back probe on the sensor but idk what the normal voltages are and boy I'd hate to drop $80 on a sensor I don't need. Any input is appreciated.

R52 JCW 2006. 84k. New plugs 10k ago when I pulled the s/c for rebuild. I checked them 2k ago. Looked good. This problem arised today out of nowhere.

Vacuum and boost readings have not changed from when it was running well to now either. I don't suspect a bypass valve issue

Pull the plugs, an easy way to see what's going on inside.
Keep them in order on a bench.
See if there are any noticeable differences between them or if all the same. ( one or all wet/smell like unburned fuel, fouling ect. )

I'll have to pull them tomorrow and look. I just find it hard to believe that the spark plug, of anything, would be causing a map sensor voltage high code without a misfire.

My belief is that the map sensor is in fact bad and someone on here knows the voltage range for normal operation on the tmap and maybe a pin out so I know what to probe.

I am thinking un-burned fuel is obviously making its way down stream.
Pulling plugs will help to determine if its that way across all cylinders = map issue, or just
one cylinder = something else all together....like a bad injector( stuck open ) or spark plug.

Oh right on didn't even think of it in that sense. Will check either tonight or later tomorrow morning. Do you know if there are separate codes for the tmap and map sensors?

What I have found is that there are no absolutes with codes...often times barely pointing you in the direction you end up having to go.

Best code list I'm aware of here: MINI Engine Codes

Tell us what you find tomorrow.

Check the wiring on the intake manifold MAP sensor, are there any chafed sections or exposed wires? Fairly common problem, you'd just have to cut the affected wire, solder in fresh wire and insulate.

Other than that; faulty sensor, air leak.

All plugs are blacker than Hillary Clinton's heart.

Attached is a pic of the map sensor. If you zoom in you can see the lead on the resistor looking deal is very very black. I could not clean it off with MAF cleaner. Local dealer has sensor in stock....

Harness is free of breaks or tears.
