Added the JCW grill, JCW wheels, JCW carbon fiber shift ****, and JCW badge. Next will be the JCW strut brace. I also added an S rear spoiler. I determined that if BMW can badge a 3 series with M logos as part of a package and it's not an M, then we can do the same with a MINI. When I bought my 2008 MINI the dealer catalog listed all JCW components and accessories as options for a base MINI. The exception was the tuning kit of course. I like the looks and performance of the JCW parts. Here's my non - S mods.
New VIP exhaust (mellow system - resonator back) installed. I've been posting this everywhere, ha! Like everything about this exhaust - took a chance since couldn't find a good video to hear the note and got lucky. Has a great note - throaty and the deceleration note is deep, too.
Also like that I did the whole job myself - and got to see firsthand that this is a quality exhaust. Fit was perfect. Under 2 hours start to finish.
Created my own VIP2 (resonator delete) using a piece from my Integra gsr cold air intake. The existing tubing slides in nice and tight and the end that leads to the air filter clicks in perfect. Great way to save 150 bucks.
2011 convertible.....so far added hood/trunk stripes, black out bumbers and trim, diy air intake with k&n. Adding 18" wheels n tires, drilled rotors, Walker exhaust with turbo mufflers n twin outlets. Maybe lowered springs and struts.
Can I ask how you got this grill to fit? Is this the Outmotoring modified JCW grill kit?
The grill fit fine with the original hardware/pins on the top. The bottom was a little loose but nothing that effected it greatly. I used the original grill surround as well. I used Plasti-Dip on it. After closing the hood all was fine.
