So I've been staring at my mini and I'm probably going to start actively trying to sell. I bought it to daily drive my long commute but I don't have the heart to do it. This car should be someone's weekend toy and not sitting in traffic behind a dump truck
2006 JCW with every option.
It's got just over 12,000 miles on it. I paid $17,000 for it but will take less. Comes with a warranty until 2026 or 100,000 miles. Otherwise the car is literally like new. Original sticker was over $41,000
I don't want to sell but I'm going to get a 2013 gs350 where I can put the miles on and not care.
I'll post this in the classifieds soon, but any suggestions on where to sell a car like this? I can't trade it in or sell it to Carmax, it needs to someone who understands the car.
This is a good place to start, I'd put it in auto trader too, cause you're really going to need a lot of reach to find the right person to buy that car. Are you sure about the sticker price? I bought a custom ordered 03 from the dealer and paid $22,500. It wasn't a jcw, nor did it have all the options, but it was decently equipped.
The car is beautiful, like I said, it's about as close to new as you can get.
I think back in the day it was one of the most expensive minis you can get. That's why I can't stomach to drive it into the ground.
That is a great looking car: chrono pack, chromeline interior, English panther leather seats, factory JCW, aero kit, and low miles .. its got everything that a prospective Mini owner should / could want!!!
I would say it depends on where you are located. Up here in the PNW there is a local mini club (PSMini) but not a lot of the available cars get listed on it. When I've bought each of my r53's I've found them on Craigslist, but I also did daily searches on NAM, Cars.com, CarGurus.com and AutoTrader.com
If you have an active Mini club near you I'd say that should be your first port of call, then NAM, then one of the other websites I've mentioned.
