Work is continuing. Trey wanted some other stuff on the car fixed too. Rear subframe, blasted, repainted, R56 aluminum trailing arms and Super Pro bushings installed.
Also had some questions about our Super Cooper intake. Here's a pic of the inside of the intake we are building now. As you can see we port the inside of the intake as well as expand the plenum volume.
We do not have dyno numbers for the intake by its self. I would say 5-7 whp peak and 10-12 between 3000-6000 rpm is realistic but the real point of this intake is to fix cylinder to cylinder air / fuel distribution so that the engines can be tuned leaner and make more power. Just bolting it on and measuring power is only half the story.
that's cool, I was planning on ordering one since you have done the work already, and I have a spare intake lying around that I was going to attempt. but you guys can definently do mine up haha. save me a lot of time
and I just happen to find out that you did this after working on the intake manifold for about 3 hours
Final Horse Power numbers are in! I know it took a while. The supercharger the car had on it was bad and we had to replace it. We replaced it with a new GP unit. Max power is 256 horse power and 197 ft lbs at the wheels.
