Yes I did it. I used 3M 1080 sctochprint series black carbon fiber wrap. I found it far better than the Di-noc carbon fiber that you see used a lot. It's designed specifically for automobile applications and can be used on the interior as well. Compared to Di-noc (an interior architectural design wrap), the weave is slightly smaller and the material is a bit thinner as well making it easier to wrap compound curves. Great stuff!

I've been watching this car/build on the Duell website. The stance alone takes the Coupe to another level all together. Thanks for the post

You can get the hood from VIS

I like the front end a lot minus that hood scoop. I prefer the factory scoop. Not sure I like what they've done to the rear end diffuser area either. What is up with the spoiler they were fabricating? Looks like it didn't make the final cut but I can't really tell.

LOVE the O.Z.'s of course!!

Here's a whole bunch of pics from the FB page:

I noticed the rear deck/spoiler must still be in development. Looking forward to seeing that finished. The rear spoiler always looked right for a tastefully done carbon fiber extender on there. Nothing too big, keep it looking like something BMW Performance would do. Thoughts?

I'm sure more options will beccome available in time, in the meantime you could always go for a JCW spoiler...

I really like the look of the endurance car though I'd never go that route for a DD. It is badass. The JCW Spoiler grows on me more and more everyday and I liked it from the get go so hopefully they'll actually offer it.

Would be nice if the factory extended the stripes all the way down like the endurance car too. I think it looks so much better like that.

Thanks.

It's a work in progress. I got the windows tinted last night then back to Mini on Saturday to get the GPS mount installed. I'm going to do some custom striping like I did on my Clubman (R.I.P. ), but I haven't gotten a "feel" for what's right for this one, yet. It definitely needs some detail/striping down the bottom of the doors, but again, I don't know which colours to use.

For instance, I can't decide if the little bit of chrome trim provides some needed contrast or if black would look better. Or... Would black just completely wash out in the odd "Eclipse Grey" colour creating an amorphous blob of a car. :dunno

The tint is great, brings the whole shape together. I really like the chrome on there, you need it for some contrast as you said. Consider lowering it, maybe springs?

Here ya go. Granted mine has the red roof, mirrors and stripes but personally I think the black really sets it off but that's what I was going for. I wanted the red to really pop.

See, you've got some accents and that looks really sharp.

The "Eclipse Grey" and the black top kinda get washed in together on mine. I have a feeling that the whole car is going to end up being stealthy and end up almost completely blacked out.

I'm not in any hurry, though. I still don't really know this car, yet. I've gotten most of what I'm going to do to the interior done. Valentine1 hardwired, OEM Mini Garmin GPS mount installed, windows tinted, rubber floormats, rubber boot liner... A few other things. I've got bulbs on the way to get all the forward facing lights the same colour temperature, stealth bulbs to get rid of the "egg yolks" (which I found out too late I could just have done myself with a very light coat of chrome spray paint ), black scuttles like yours ordered... The Coupe's coming along. I just can't "see" the exterior, yet. I don't know, I'm probably over thinking it.

Agreed! Some folks hate chrome. I don't and think it all depends on the car and what you're going for. Like you, I think with a dark roof the chrome looks good but then I don't think blackening everything out would wash the car out either.

I second that TV, nothing wrong with or with out chrome/polished metal. It depends on the look and what a person is trying to do.
