Well, since I bought Oscar on 6/4, he's only been in my possesion for 15 days due to the fun valvetronic-related faults but the comments just don't seem to stop. From motorists on the highways to the people next to me at red lights to the guys who gather in the park. I came out of a store to find a few teenagers ogling it and sat on a bench next to the car while an older couple peered in the windows. They want to know how much it costs, how fast it goes, how much fun it is and where they can get one.

But my two favorites were the delightful squee I got from a man who couldn't help himself when I raised the rear spoiler for him and the couple of awesome gangsters I ran into in Philly who couldn't get over the fact that a girl was driving that car.

It great to see both a young and old having the same reaction which so far has been nothing but positive reactions with total strangers waving as I drive by. Absolutely love the drive and finally got a chance to take it on the Sea to Sky Highway in BC and it was great on the twistys.

I'm with you! The red accent is a bit too much for me but I love the diffuser.

Here's my coupe before having the trim painted. I'm blacked out most of the chrome already and had the windows tinted. I'll post more after the flares and skirts are painted.

I'm jealous! I've had mine since Jul 1 (it's now october), and is the only one in town, and I get next to NO comments. A few "Cute!"s, but thats it.

I just discovered this thread and it is awesome! Thanks for posting all your pictures everyone! Your cars look great.

I'm seriously considering taking back my deposit on the GP and buying a Coupe instead. Winter's nearly here and people online are insisting the GP won't be here until February or March even though my dealer thinks it will be December.

If I do bail on the GP, I'm on the fence as to whether to get Spice Orange/silver or White Silver/Red. I love them both. I think the Spice Orange is more rare, as I hardly ever see them for sale or driving around but I really love the White/Red combo.

That reminds me, I saw some JCW wheels at my dealer - they are black with red circles on the outer edge of the wheel. I saw them in one of the posts above too. However, I can't find them on the MINI site as a configurable option. Does anyone know the model number of those wheels?

I saw those wheels as well, very nice, I think they were 18's though. White Silver and Red is an awesome color combo.

They are 18" wheels. I couldn't find them on the MINI USA Configurator, either. But surely your local dealer can locate a set.

The wheels are the R113 cross spoke. Black with red lip. MINI may not be offering them this year on the configurator but I'm sure they can still be had. Hope that helps.

Yeah I just saw them at my dealership tonight. They only come in 18" and they are priced at $3742 for the set mounted and balanced (run-flats only). Ouch.

Yes crazy expensive! I considered them early on but as they're 18" only I ditched the idea. That and the insane price steered me clear lol. You can get great aftermarket wheels for nearly a third the cost and they'll weigh a ton less as well. Great looking wheels though!

It still is, isn't it? There are nearly 7 pages of pictures here. I just came to share my joy with finding them all and ask a question about one.
