Great, more pictures and Sunsets.

Vicki, nice set of pictures, I think we have about 5 or 6 master photographers in this group of MINI enthusiasts. Excellent.

We have not seen Rick's and I know he has a fine hand with the Nikon. I hope he was taking a few pictures, too.

A great day. The SSS folks had a nice turnout.

My SSR & SSSR photos

Thanks for putting this ride together PYR8SHP. It was a lot of fun under the sun. I am using a new site to show my photos...hope you all enjoy...make sure your speakers are on! If you see any photos you would like, PM me and I'll send them to you (some photos appear fuzzy from some of the effects of the slideshow).

Also included are SOME SSSR photos...I was able to get a few pics before the battery died minutes later!

I really wanted some pictures of the bison from last night's drive so I went back up again this morning. Here are a few pictures that you all might enjoy:

I had a GREAT time on both rides, it was nice meeting everyone.

My husband was holding his breath and holding on for dear life several times which makes me laugh because that's how I feel everytime I ride with him anywhere.

Looking forward to the next ride!

Jamie

Great pictures all. Teena is now a multimedia fanatic - awesome show, thanks for sharing.
Thanks go to Jacob for an excellent route and fun morning ride. You know after looking at the route on the map I just realized why you called it M is for MINI. Duh.
And Jonathan pulled through with a winner sunset to top off the day in a beautiful spot (even with the dirt and off-roading).
Thanks again for a great summer kick off!

Looks like you guys had a great turn out. I was scheduled to go camping already @ Turquoise Lake, so couldn't go. It was nice (cold) but much like Chuck I fear dirt roads in the MINI , so I didn't drive it at all this weekend. I can't wait until the next one...

Did I see Tommy Z's Cooper going West on I-70 on Sunday 12:00 ish?

Thank you to everyone that planned the 2 rides! I had a great time & always enjoy seeing everyone outside of the dealership where I have to behave (yeah right)!!
I already printed my photos and made some nice cards, but as for down loading them to NAM........
I REALLY WILL LEARN!!

That's funny. My wife makes good use of the passenger roof handle (left arm) and the door handle (right arm) all the time with me. Her knuckles are always white. She's only a tiny bit more used to it and we've had our MINI almost 4 years. The imaginary brake pedal doesn't seem to slow the car down either. She opted out of Saturday's ride for other reasons, though...

SSSSSS

I think we could start a "Scared Spouse Sitting Shotgun Shouting Sh_t" (SSSSSS) thread.

Mrs. Embalmer has made claw marks on their passenger door handle.

Mrs. Pauhana, on the Western Slope ride of '07 was heard over the radio, "Somebody help me!" as Pauhana passed the group going over Monarch Pass.

Mrs. intercoolest told me on Saturday as we encountered some tempting twisties, "Don't make me wish I hadn't come!"

Anyone else have stories to share?

Mrs Embalmer saying to Mr Embalmer as she gripped the Oh **** handle and gave a death grib to the seat, "I hope the kids know where all our important documents are kept in case we don't make it home alive."

Yes, Mrs. PauHana (Wendy) said many colorful words (that I can't quote here) during the Western Slope Ride, especially going over Red Mtn Pass. And were in her car, the TOYOTA HYBRID, with me (a MINI driver) at the wheel! The MCS was in the shop so we didn't cancel the trip, we just took a different car. So, I think:

You can take the MINI away from the driver, but you can't take the MIINI out of the driver.

Got the MCS back Monday and all is well, until the next 5280 road trip...

Rick
