Detroit Tuned/RMW Tune Party Results 253 whp!!

Last weekend we had Jan from RMW come out and work his magic on the ecus. Most of the cars pulled out 200whp without any problems, but the smooth drivability was what shocked everyone. I am still getting calls of thanks from customers that have been driving their car all week and can not believe the difference in how smooth the car is and how much more of a joy it is to drive.

But we had the opportunity to do some real world testing on three different GPs. One was a stock GP, one GP just had a RMW cam and race header with RMW header back exhaust. Keep in mind that the GP cars come with 380cc injectors from the factory. the last GP had a DT 15% pulley, RMW Head, Cam, and NEW street header along with a set of 440cc injectors. all have the stock GP intercoolers!

First photo below is stock GP vs. GP with RWM cam & race header & header back exhaust.

Below is the pre and post tune for the GP with RWM cam & race header & header back exhaust.

Below is the pre and post tune for the GP with DT 15% pulley, RWM head, cam, & street header w/ Milltek catback exhaust & 440 cc injectors. 252.9 WHP & 179.3 ft. lbs. tq.!!

The new RMW street header!

The new RMW street header!

I really like the 15lbs. of tq. difference between the stock GP and the GP with header, cam and exhaust @ redline. Thats a huge difference.
Thanks Jan
The car runs like a bear. The experiment with the throttle response is awesome. NO CODES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More power & better gas mileage. What a combo!

Maybe I should change out the stock pulley? Na - really runs cool the way it is on the track.

I'm leaning in another direction. I have this spare motor that needs some work. But you never know. Maybe a head on this one first.

Were you referring to this graph? Unless I'm mistaken the torque scale is the one on the left and the max torque gain is ~15lbft from about 4700rpm to redline. Still great.

what kind of dyno? interesting to see high HP and low tq on that fully done GP compared to my numbers which hit in between. Maybe the diff is the shorty header?

Dynapac
We kinda think the tq. numbers were low on all cars. Older version.

it was a dynapack, it was weird

the HP numbers seemed to be correct but the torque was low compared to other dynapacks. Go figure

That's exactly what I am shooting for but hopefully sooner rather than later.

Jan, I am saving my money to make a trip down where you are to do your street header, cam, 440 injectors (still running stock) and a final tune.
