SMF (Street Modified FWD) How are you doing this year?
2007 Season !
This sunday I have one but further dates are pending and I hope I can get in a few more soon. Normally April starts the new season in my region.
Update to post #25.
Had a relatively good day yesterday considering I was exposed to the heat all day long and getting over exposed and dehydrated despite drinking alot.
I had a pedometer on to track my steps and finished the long day with about 30,000 steps or roughly 15 miles covered. This is over about 12+ hours. I guess I tend to walk alot. While this doesn't break any records with me I can feel today that my legs are tired a bit.
I had a rerun due to a timing problem and had the "chance" to finish in the top 5 with a great run but I tried too hard and ended up overdriving the course. Funny that the run that was not timed due to the timing error was a very good one- I would have liked that one back. I was looking for 0.2 or 0.3 seconds better on my last run and I think I could have done it but it was not to be.
Last month I didn't do well compared to all of my other events over the year and thought- was it my tires now a year old or was it just mental fatigue and dullness. So yesterday I really tried to go strong but I know I could be so much smoother. You have to try to minimize the jerky motions when trying for a bit faster time and settle for smoothness which would help more in the long run.
I'll miss the last event of the season but be far enough ahead on points to place first in points in SM class for the year. Our run off championship is open to the top 5 drivers in each class.
Next season starts April 8.

Official end of the season. Amen.
Today we had our Run Off championships.
For each class the top five points drivers get to run off, three runs only.
We had some on and off rain so it was important to get some clean and dry runs in first. One bad run makes for only limited chances left and some pressure.
I had new 15x8 rims and new Hooiser A6 tires and had to guess what tire pressures to use but all was OK and rain was relatively light during the moments I drove.
One of my competitors could not have his car ready so I offered my MINI to him but he declined and drove a friend's FSP Honda Accord.
