SCCA Region Bragging

We are proud of our SCCA South Bend Region members and wish to congratulate the following SBR members who won trophies at the 2004 Tire Rack Solo National Championships this year:
Kim Bollinger - National Champion - E Modified Ladies
Scott Nardin - National Champion - F Modified


Chris Harvey - 2nd place - CS
Angie Rogers - 3rd place - CSL
William Loring - 8th place - GS
Steve Bollinger - 4th place - DP

FYI, this is Kim's 11th National Championship, and Scott's 2nd.

Other Fierce Competitors included:
Steve Tamandli-E Modified
Brian Priebe- H Stock
John Rogers- C stock

There were plenty of us that stayed behind (licking our season long wounds and showing off the character we built from our pummellings.)

It is interesting that for such an isolated region, tucked up in the corner, that there would be the quality there so obviously is. The saying "big fish in a small pond" doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't big fish in the big pond as well. Most of them are going to be at it again this weekend. Wish I could make it down there to get my butt kicked once again. Congrats to all the participants. It takes guts to put your ego into the big pond.
