Engine mounts replacement and stay in DS

Hi, I just bought a 2006 Cooper S JCW and planning on running in DS. My question is the engine mount is failing like most OEM mounts in the 2004 to 2006's can you replace the mounts with a aftermarket mount and stay in DS, if so which one's.

Section 13 of the SCCA Solo Rules reads partially thus:

"Alternate components which are normally expendable and considered
replacement parts (e.g., engine and wheel bearings, seals, gaskets, filters,
belts, bolts, bulbs, batteries, brake rotors, clutch discs, pressure plates,
suspension bushings, drivetrain mounts, fenders, trim pieces, fuel filler
caps, etc.) may be used provided they are essentially identical to the standard
parts (e.g., have the same type, size, hardness, weight, material, etc.),
are used in the same location, and provide no performance benefit."

Unless you expect to trophy at Nationals I would not worry about it.

Kind regards,

Charlie

uhh not sure I would do it if you are competitive, they are supposed to cut down on wheelhop and that is an advantage in autocross

I have not tried one to see if that is true
