Mini Contingency money??

So, how does the Divisional money work? Mini says they will pay $500 for Divisional championships. In our division, the midwest division, we have a Division champion based on points, and a division champion based on a win at the championship race. After 3 events, I have the Midwest Divisional points championship wrapped up, so does that mean I win $500 for the Divisional championship based on points? and then I get another shot at $500 additional for the championship??

It seems to me, that if they only offer $500 for the championship race, there would be many competitors jumping to other divisions to pilfer the $500 from outside divisions. At least on the points championship, there is much more effort involved.

thanks for any input

It is the divisional series championship (multiple events points champion) Although I think some have been paid for indiviual Divisional events.

AFAIK it has to be a sanctioned Divisional event. Whether part of a series or not. These are events that can be used as qualifying events for going to SCCA Solo2 Nationals in Topeka. Divisionals were big until the National Tour events came along. They still are in some places.

We'll see if they pay out. I won the Rocky Mountain Division/Utah Region SCCA Divisional in GS. Still have 4 weeks left in the six weeks they said it takes to send the money...

I have submitted

St Louis Solotime #1 Midwest Divisional 1st Place

OKC Solotime #2 Midwest Divisional 2nd place

Salina, KS Solotime #3 Midwest Divisional 1st Place

I'll let you know if they pay or not, I am a bit skeptical on the seperate divisionals.

I'm interested to see how that turns out. I won HS at the Rantoul CENDIV #1. Assumed the $500 was only for the Divisional Championship Event, but I'd love to be wrong.
