What is the recommendation to run camber wise in the rear?

I'm going to have them 0 out the toe as close as they can for now I guess.

I don't know that this is the appropriate thread to discuss car setup so I won't go into too much detail. Camber recommendations are going to vary widely depending on car setup/driving style/surface/etc. Without knowing anything about your car setup I'd say start at -1.5 and go from there. Feel free to PM me or start a new thread if you want to talk more in detail.

3rd Gen Gollum has a 1st and a 2nd so far in G Street.

No excuse for the 2nd - Warren kicked my butt.

But it's capable - not miss-classed at all.

Hee hee.

Final results for last Weekend's BMW event: http://xmdforum.com/brian/2014-AX5-FinalResults.htm

Now the guy in the Cayman was moved out of my class, I'm 4th. Things are so close together at the top, if you work out the indexed time I was fastest in the class.

So I'm in better shape for this next event then I have been.

Got my Rear Sway in and got an alignment. I'm excited to see if it feels any different.

Here's my alignment sheet if anyone wants to critique. I told them to 0 the front toe out. Leave whatever negative camber I was able to get with the free camber mod and set the rears to -1.5 camber with factory toe settings.

I told them to use factory settings for rear toe. I saw so much different information, and it all contradicted each other. I wasn't sure what to do.

The left and right camber on the front end are rather different, I would not do that because of the variation in turn in that results. Am I reading this wrong, or is the left a .6 and the right at 1.0?

There isn't an actual adjustment on the front. You have to mess with the strut tower and hope for the best.

I don't trust alignment machines too much though. It seems like most of the readings were already skewed towards that side of the car. I'm sure if I took it to a different shop they'd get entirely different readings.

I have an event next weekend so I'll see if she feels any better.

Oh man. What a difference the rear sway and alignment made.

Got 16th out of 85 on PAX. Of course missing some heavy hitters but I'm pretty proud. Picked up almost a full second on my last run of the day.

Turns so much better. I found out on my 2nd run it turns a little too much if I'm not careful.

Here is my fastest of the day:

Here's my best run from today.

Need to smooth it out some. Getting better. I kept messing up that slalom before the turn around. Kept trying to go to the wrong side of the cone. Threw off my line a little. Barely recovered and almost plowed through line of cones.

Finished about 42nd on Pax out of 145ish entrants. 4th in my class out of 8. Lost to George Artega in a JCW MINI by .05. 1st place was the WRX and driver that got 2nd at nationals. The 7th place finisher from nationals is also a regular in our region. Class finishes are going to be tough. 3 really fast WRX's in our region.

saw your runs, much improved. it's nice when the car finally starts doing what you ask it to (w/ rear bar) instead of resisting

Its so much fun now. The car actually rotates. I love how even when I'm too aggressive it still stays fairly predictable.

I won't be at the next September event but I'll be at the double in October. Will you be around?

Well I'll definitely be at the 9/28 event - I haven't won in my class yet in Chicago, so I'd like to give 9/28 a go. If I win my class 9/28, I've definitely got a shot to win the class overall and will definitely be there for the twin events in October. A little contrived lol, would be nice to win the class though.

as i'm sure everyone's heard by now, huge class shake up for HS (http://www.solomatters.com/street_ca...moves_for_2015)

end result being, the mini is potentially no longer the only competitive car in HS. while my reaction to this was pretty strong (car may be more or less up for sale lol), i don't know that the mini isn't still the car to have. drivers are licking their lips at the potential influx of cars into HS, but so far i'm otherwise not convinced that the mini can be beat

Big one there is the Fiesta ST moving to HS.

Interesting to see the MS3 move from DS to GS, too.

The FiST move to HS was a big suprise to me. That car is very comparable to our MINI's. As well as the MS3 move. Very odd this should happen, and still keep the MINI's in DS.
