I want to get more sound from my 2010 Cooper and I want to race in Nationals as well. Will I get protested for "saving weight" from removing the resonator?
catback exhausts are allowed in stock class so if the resonator is after the factory cat then yes you can remove it. Currently the exhaust just has to exit "behind the driver" however I think the rules are changing for next year to "exit from the factory location" or some impossible to police rule like that.
we run a dump pipe on the street instead of a muffler out back and it's still quiet. A resonator delete is a waste of time LOL...won't do much of anything
Any pictures of that installed? We're debating exhaust options. I have a good friend that makes headers/exhausts so the idea was to just get him to make us a straightpipe but if this just bolts on that's certainly easier/quicker than fabbing something up...

Here. Have a peek at the thread in addition to single post - there's a bit of commentary.
