Solo First Time Autocrosser Needs a Little Help!
Thank you to everyone for the tips, I had a great time and nailed first place in Novice!! Everyone was fantastic and even my buddy got a run in someones car even though he wasn't running. Thank you Steve for the pep talk before I went out too - well timed enough to take off some of the nerves. You were also right, I should have run the rear tires much higher!
The tip about locking the seat belt and moving the seat forward a few inches is great!! I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't do it. I took a ride with someone before I went out and was FLYING all over the seat. After I locked myself in place I was planted enough in the seat that I was watching the road rather than trying to stay in place.
I put a hurting on the stock run-flats though and they have a very wobbly feel... I was looking at getting new wheels anyway after all...
