well, had my second autox in my new mini (03 MCS). didnt place very well, still trying to learn the car. the mini has more torque than i am used to, i had a 89 bmw 325 automatic. i had a hard time getting traction. some turns i was going back into 1st and i was running on 3.5 year old tires that have about 40k on them.

Third run did look good, but as you said you missed that one gate, car looks like it handles very well, very little body roll

Another great weekend at Gulfcoast Autocrossers. I ended with a 4.5 second lead in GS and placed 8th overall in PAX which I was very pleased with as 3 of the 7 faster cars were Z06s which had an advantage on the fast sections.

Another great day of running the Mini. Came in third in GS. I cant complain, still running on daily tires. Only 2.8 seconds behind first, he was running r comps and placed 5 in pax. I have a couple of years under my belt and been hearing that I will be a threat with the top guys in pax that's always nice to hear. After my run you will some of the other guys that run in our region.

Well, I know where they park all the rime, and the general shape of their stuff. They drive a silver Vette, and a monster in A-Mod called the Tomcat. A tube frame Fiero with a transverse, mid-engined V8.

 

are you saying that Rick and Barbara are your inlaws? That is just too funny. Rick and Barbara were driving the Tomcat at this event.
