Inside wheel spin in sweeper

Did my first Autocross in the Mini S (R56) today. Car has LSD and Sport suspension. I am running RE01R 205/16 with an AX alignment. I had major inside wheel spin in sweepers. Any suggestions?

I am thinking smaller front bar. Less compression in the front. Would be nice if I could run Moton Club Sports on this thing like I had on the S2000. What can you run in GS (soon to be DS?) for double adjustable?

lifting

I'm thinking lifting is much cheaper --- but the real question is how much to lift? Should you be hearing a little scrubbing, how much is too much?

I would actually think less rebound, to let the wheel go to droop more easily.

I am a little surprised that you are getting THAT much wheel spin with an LSD installed.

The LSD is only 30% lock up, it allows the inside to spin pretty good, but unlike the earlier cars (non-lsd), it is still driving the outside tire.

Check out Per Schroeder's tuning approaches in Grassroots Motorsports.

You are limited in what you may do and still stay in stock classification.

Yep, I hit the high points on that page. Inside wheel spin, however, is much more dependent on your right foot and possibly compression damping in the rear shocks.

I find that there is a point where if you accelerate just a little harder both wheels seem to get equal grip. Its like there is a "zone" of acceleration that allows the inside wheel to spin, not freely, but enough to slow you down. I've found that if you add just a bit more throttle in the turn both tires will pull you. When you have the inside tire spinning the car tends to understeer, but when you add that extra throttle, both wheels pull you in the direction that you want to go. The only downside to this is that it tends to make the back end come around a bit so you have to counter steer at the same time.
