H Stock first autox in the mc
first autox in the mc
yesturday was the first time i had the chance to autocross the cooper, my 3rd time total/ever in 4 years time. and it was a blast. hands down the best handling stock car i have ever driven now. i ended up taking first in H stock, but with only 5 drivers in the category... but still, i got a niffty plaque from the scca.

heres a link to the results if your interested- http://www.worscca.org/solo/results/...70930_fin_.htm
my names shawn, the only 02 cooper in HS. i think i did fairly well when even compared to the other classes. everyone was having a good time listening to me squeal around the course as i am even on STOCK TIRES!!!
i posted this in 1st gear... but noone seemed to care
.
but thought i would put it here also to let those who do autocross check it out and maybe give some input on stock upgrades that you personaly love.

somebody liked slaloms!
The MC is very competitive in HS. Heck, I have an HS MC (on R-comps) that beats the heck out of my SM MCS that has twice as much HP (but I am on street tires) in my local events.
R-compound tires make all the difference. I plan on getting a third set of wheels so I can have R-comps next season (I have a summer/road couse set, and a all-season/winter set)

maybe ill see if someone local will let me use a set of r-comps for a day. it will have to be a pretty impressive improvment to convince me to spend the money. but despite, i am going to be purchasing another set of wheels with summer performance tires and using my current ones for designated snows.
