Sebring is a great event. This will be our third consecutive year. I'm looking forward to the debut of the new M3 this year. Check my sig for the photos of the last two years.
I have really enjoyed the JCW a lot so far. I plan to get it to the track for the first time in April. This weekend I'm installing the strut brace. I have to admit, though, that sometimes I really miss the E46 M3 it replaced. The MINI is a great car, but just not in the same league, IMHO.

Yes, that was the point.
Besides, now that BMW has X5 and X6 M cars coming, I guess "M" doesn't stand for "Motorsports" anymore.

Trackside update
Adam Burrows qualified the 198 car 18th at 2:11.8 out of 32 cars.
Randy Smalley qualified the 197 car at 2:11.9 good for 19th. The cars will grid back to back.
The 196 car did not make the qualifing grid after Jade Buford had an 'off' at the bus stop during the second practice session. The car was heavily damaged but will make the race start at the back of the pack. The crew worked quicky to get the car pieced back together but not soon enough to qualify.
We are pleased with these results. All three cars are running record laps at Daytona and doing better than expected. Daytona includes two miles of banked oval where the aerodynamics of the Mini are a big handicap. As always, the Mini's are best in the tighter areas as we are the fastest in the infield.
The race goes off today, Friday, at 1:45. The race will be live on at www.grand-am.com and will be televised on Speed in the future. They have not announced the TV date yet.
More to follow.

Great job qualifying!
Its obvious how much work you guys have done since the cars times are close together. The #198 qualified 37th last year at a 2:14.568. Thats great progress.
Safe race definitely.
