15 days to go! It's so close I can harldy stand it. According to the AMVIV website there are officially 334 cars registered as of yesterday! So this is promising to be a good event.


Well Scotti sounds like you'll be out on teh road earlier than some of us; but perhaps we'll run into one another on the road. For your return date it surprisingly matches exactly with ours, so if you're interested we can atleast caravan back together.

As a general message to anyone that's going to Vegas (I know there are more folks out there who haven't checked in), I hope to see you all at Randy Webb's shop next week at the 5280 meeting. Maybe then we can get acquainted and make firm plans on driving schedules.

Okay i'm leaving it to the front range people to organize a group to caravan. I will jump in with you near Glenwood. I am going on the 21st. So post it here and lets have some fun. Also those of you using hand-held radios pick a channel and post that too so we can talk it up. Patrick

 

Ok, as of last night at the 5280 meeting Randy and I decided on our time.

Wednesday, March 21st, 9 am. We're meeting where I-70 cuts through the hogback, but I can't be exactly sure of the lot's name. It's lot on the NORTH side of the highway, I'll try to figure out it's name before the trip if I'm up that way.

There are 20 Colorado cars registered for AMVIV and we're hoping that we'll catch a few more for the ride to vegas. If anyone's interested in meeting up there then come and join us. Even if you're not going to Vegas but want to get into the hills feel free to tag along for as long as you wish.

I believe it's about a two hour trip to glenwood, so we'll probably be in the neighborhood about 11am. I don't have any radios, though I've heard talk about marine band radios and such being used on these kinds of trips. If anyone has any suggestions I'm open to them.

Only six full days left till we leave for AMVIV, boy am I stoked!

 

Sounds good. The radio's are those cheap hand held I think there called family band. I only mentioned it because at MTTS a lot of people had them and the conversation was amusing. You could hear the grins.

 

Ok, two days left till my caravan leaves... I think I'm going to burst. However I looked into radios over the weekend and ended up with THESE.

I'm going to set them to channel 7 sub 21 based on Agro's post below. That seems to be the one to use.

No more updates for now; gotta get some work done before they'll let me leave. See you soon!

Does anybody know of someone going to Vegas that needs someone to share a room @ Palace Station???????????????? Please let me know. I have a ride but no place to stay.

 

The most common channel used by MINI drivers is 7 sub 21. That is the "official" AMVIV channel too.
