This morning we has 35 MINIs show up at the Geologic cut near Morrison (right across from Matthews/Winters) for the Yalla-Yalla - a rally for the new MINI. Yalla-Yalla loosely means "to wander about" in Bambara (the language spoken in Mali).

7:30 AM :smile:
* MINI Madness

I'll post more pictures later (I'm rather dial-up limited at home... ). Follow this link for more Yalla-Yalla pictures as I continue uploading pics this evening.

Thanks for the pics Dave! Alicia and I really had fun. The Lookout Mountain road from Buffalo Bill's grave to Golden was so much fun we had to drive back up and down again Thanks to everyone who helped organize this fun drive. I can't wait to do it again.
Cheers, David.

Dave, Amy, John & Anthony! My MINI had itself a BLAST! Actually, so did my navigator and me! We laughed from beginning to end. Especially loved the view at MINItown of the blue & white skyscrapers. The whole production was well-organized and very VERY creative. You guys put on a real show! And while my MINI may not have some of the cool accessories that some have, it will be the SHINIEST of all with the detail it won from Ralph Schomp! My MINI and I thank all of you very much! Yahoo! What a HOOT!

If anyone else has pics, you can upload them to the MCO Rocky Mountain Events Gallery

I do have more pics, but they are on my hard drive at home. I'll try to do another batch upload tonight.

Great pictures. After seeing them wish I was there. Just a tad out of my way though. And boy it looks cold there. We are freezing here also, today it got down to 74f. And there telling us another cold front is on the way. :evil:

I was asked this on e-mail and I thought I'd share it for anyone else wondering about Yall-Yalla.

> Which of you has been to Mali and picked up the language there?

A friend of mine was in Mali with the Peace Corps. :smile:

A few more pics.

I really like the EB/W, Bonnet Stripes, driving lights, and Columbine Plate. It all goes very nicely together. :smile:

Great job Dave, Amy, Anthony and John! And thanks to all the sponsors! Yet another great day of driving. These events seem to get better and better! Thanks for all the time that went into putting that together. The route was great and the fog really added to the adventure! The blue and white skyscrapers were a riot!

Thanks.
