Boise MINI owners unite!

I took my MINI down to MINIs of Murray to have my first service done. They took very good care of me. However, two things occured, the first one was finding out that Peterson Motors here in Boise was considering a MINI dealership. The only thing that stands in the way is convincing Peterson that there's enough MINIs in town to warrant it. The second was a defective crush ring from the gearbox flush that caused a leak. This required having the car towed back down to Utah, at their expense, and an airplane ticket and gasoline at MY expense. This would not have been necessary had Peterson took care of us. We MUST let him know we're here!

Hello Tommy!

Perhaps some day the Boise (and ID) MINI owners would like to meetup with the Colorado and Utah owners.

I might suggest someplace about midway, like Evanston, WY. This is very proximate to the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area and the Dinosaur National Monument.

Please give some thought to this and let me or MINI5280 prez Rick (Pauhana in NAM) know if you have some interest. Would need to plan ahead for this one...

Thanks,

JPS

That sounds like a great idea....I wonder though, is it really necessary to take your mini to utah to have it serviced? I just got my mini 4 days ago and am wondering if when it does come time to have it serviced if i should actually go to a mini dealership, if so I would love to have one in the state, let alone the valley.

BTW, how many coopers are in the valley roughly?

There is a Boise Idaho MINI club (although it appears relatively inactive). They do have a great logo and the web site is established.

Idaho MINI owners should consider runs with COMA and PDX in Oregon as well. PDX and REME are in the planning stages for a ring of fire run in July, 2008. Maybe the Idaho MINIs should come along.

I'd love to meet up with some Boise area owners as well. Lately I've been seeing more and more MCS around town so I know you're out there... plus I miss being able to wrench on my MCS seeing as how I'm stuck in an apartment in Boise until my house in California sells. Anyone in the area with a garage to loan out? If you have the space I can supply the food
