Just got back from a great day of college football!

So... What was the outcome, and dare I ask, how many participants?

And with regard to another hostile NAMCC Race thread, I'll just say this... the commitments we make, all of them in life, whether with customers, to a race series, or whatever, are decisions that we must live with. Being able to forecast and understand the impact of them is essential.

So, if a choice is made that degrades customer support, it is not then unreasonable to expect those people to complain, publicly, if it must come to that. And if the rectifying response then entails the withdrawl from a race series, those who follow it, or who have an interest, might not be happy, and they too might voice themselves...

Making the right business decision from the get-go would have helped avoid such a predicament, and the corresponding responses from those who felt let-down.

I have always wanted WMS to thrive, and for that reason alone I hesitantly declined to support their race efforts with a contribution. I just sensed that it might not be a prudent buisness decision, and unfortunately I was right...

The new WMS business model, minus Pulley Parties and racing, seems like a winner, and I'm happy to see that!

Well put, TonyB.

Just got back in. I couldn't get my laptop to work on the motel internet connection. Unfortunately, I was tied up doing something during Saturday's race. Maybe someone else will come along with more info. All I know is Way won.

I did get to watch the Sunday race and even though it was a small field of three cars it was very enjoyable for the spectators. Pete Taylor ran the Wicks car and Matt Jensen and Waylen offered him a 30 second handicap as they were on race slicks and Pete wasn't.

Matt and Way ran door to door through the entire race, trading places several times at turn one in front of the spectators. The whole time they were gaining about 5 or 6 seconds per lap on Pete. At the white flag it looked like they might not catch him but they did so at the final turn. The finish looked like a three way drag race with Matt crossing the finish line first.

I may possibly be able to get some video of the finish.

All and all, a most excellent MINI weekend in South Carolina for driving academy and racers both.

LOL, this is fun.

Here's video of the Sunday race with a great thanks to Chris Medico.
Much better than just the finish.

I heard Sunday's race was a real down-to-the-wire crowd pleaser! I know Matt had a great time, and I'm sure Way did too.

At the finish you can see a little, ummm, teamwork on Way's part in front of the Wicks car.
