Albuquerque, April 8 & 9, School & Race, SWMS

If you are near Albuquerque or know others who are, SWMS first driver school and race is about to happen. Students, racers, lappers, workers, sponsors, spectators, and benefactors are welcome to check us out.

Our school is usually predominantly street cars. As such, we are very safety oriented. Very limited passing. NOT full out fender to fender racing. Really a high speed driving school. Graduates and those with experience may also join lapping group.

Race prepped cars also may participate in racing groups - open wheel, over 2.5L and under 2.5L. Race cars are both vintage and contemp.

Sandia's road course is 1.65 miles, 14 turns. That means 14 mini drag races, 14 brake tests, every lap. Groups usually get about 15-20 minutes per session on track. Most folks go home exhausted...and happy! It amounts to about 60 miles a day at high speed and checking the limits.
