Hi all,

I have having some head room issue at the trackday with the helmet on, anyway i can improve this problem other than installing a bucket seat? i am 6"3.

Is your seat jacked down all the way?

If your seat is all the way down, you might try to recline a few degree's. Other then that it time for a seat. I'm 6-5 and my helmet rubbed the top with the stock seats. After I changed to a race seat I had no problems. Also it is easier to see out and up. Most of the time, before I couldn't see what color the signals were at a stop light, because I couldn't see the stop light.

 

I hear ya! My '05 has a side sunvisor that I have to flip down for headroom with helmet. I also have to tilt the seat back a bit more.

 

thanks guys FYI i always lower the seat all the way down and i barely see the lights haha. also, i do have a race seat sitting at home, but i read it is kinda hard to get the race seat mount on the factory rail, is that true? any easy way to mount a race seat?

 

IT depends if it's bottom mount or side mounts. I just mounted a Racetech side mount and it would have work using the factory sliders. The problem was again it was too tall and I just mounted it to the factory bolt location on the floor.

I had a bottom mount Cobra that I needed different sliders and mounting. Took a weekend to install.
