I'm in too, but you have to return the favor one day when I'm a big bad racer too Just kidding. I would love to support another MINI flying around the track.

And now that you are talking sponsorship maybe one of the decal vendors on NAM could hook up the sticker making as their sponsorship.

Im in, count me in...and I dont even have a mini yet...or know anyone on this forum...

What are peoples thoughts about taking this to the next level...how about estabilshing a NAM "team" for solo1, solo2, HPDE's, regional races, etc...?

Here's what popped into my head:
- mini's on the "team" have sponsorship logos for NAM, or some branding that is geared toward supporting the site
- members come and help crew at their regional track, give out info, general track support (more teams around the counry, more help, less cost by using local resources)
- minis can team up on the track, draft, support each other, share tools, etc. No need to have 5 full trailers of parts and tools when the team is together...

If we got the above together hypothetically we could have a great many "team racers", and we could easily get some other sponsors onboard just from the high visability of the team. Can you imagine that if everytime you went to the track, you saw a "NAM team Mini"??? Part cult icons, part dediacated racers, the press releases and marketing campaign practically writes itself....and then we could use that outside support for the front running drivers in the major competitions...Us smaller time racers are doing the legwork for the team to get the more high profiles racers the financing they need to win...truly teamwork...

Would love to hear feedback....

but Im in to help anyone when our paths meet on the track...teammate or not..

If this gets serious, count me in, I will help in all ways I can..

Count me in on that $20 Onasled! Just keep us up to date as much as you can with your busy schedule and good luck.

I also vote for Paypal if possible.

No "team", because...

but Im in to help anyone when our paths meet on the track...teammate or not..
we should be helping anyone who needs help out there. I know that I've had plenty of people, MINI owners and otherwise, offer helping hands out there. I try to return the favor whenever possible. It has nothing to do with teams.

Hmmm...

I totally hear where you are coming from...and apprecaite your feedback.

But, I think that your missing my point. In my experience, I think some sort of organizing element, call it a team, call it a network, whatever you like, is essential to success for competative racing. I read Onasled's goals as being for top tier racing, and to do that, he will need a team. Not many racers go it alone beyond regionals or nationals. "Privateers" in ALMS or SpeedWorld all have full teams supporting them....

Still doesnt negate the fact that there are options for us "little racers" to promote NAM and anyone racing on its behalf...

Count me in too. (Sorry for having missed this thread for the past 2 weeks!)

I was lucky enough to watch Greg tear up the track at several HPDE's at NHIS last year. Looking forward to seeing him again!
