Cooper in SCCA G production

Some of you may not know this since I do not believe there are any GP Minis in existence, but the regular Cooper is classed in SCCA G-Production as limited prep. This would be a sweet car to build! Limited prep means limited compression ratio, limited cam, stock pickup points, stock trans (or race box with a weight penalty), only port matching (no fully ported head), stock FI, stock rotors and calipers, and full race slicks.

My question is:

Why is the 02-04 Cooper classed at 2200 lbs vs the 05 at 2310??? Both are with driver. What's the diff for 05?

You can see the specs for this car and all the other cars at this site.

The Mini is listed on page 348-349

Thanks
