I see no Phil Wicks or BMW Road Race references

The listings are the only ones that MINIUSA sponsors.
Phil Wicks does not have any contingency, only the champion goes to England.

None with BMW CCA

I would imagin that Mini USA wants to reward you for beating other cars. If they rewarded the Phil Wicks seriers they might as well call it the Mini USA seriers as they would be paying out every race.
It's actually surprising to see them reward for any SCCA as they are not 'spectator' races as are Grand Am and some others. Good for them. Now if there were actually any classes the S would fit into besides Grand Am, that would be even nicer ...

It would however be nice to see them offer awards for BMWCCA as it might promote more use of Minis. Maybe there is something in the BMWCCA bylaws that does not permit such a thing. (?)

I think miniusa has a bit of tradition with SCCA, as the old BMC company used to pay for wins, etc. in SCCA...... not all events are non-spectator events, and certainly the Runoffs isn't and has Television coverage as well. Stuff corporate MINI is looking for.

So then, why not race with SCCA?

OK, I used to race a classic mini (for 12 years no less ! ) in GT 4 and later, GT5, and experienced some problems racing in SCCA. But what the heck, they do pay if you win ! and give you and your team some free publicity!

The MINI is current National Champion in SSC.

Not to mention GTL, with the classic mini. That car can actually run a new MINI motor, I think, tho I may be wrong about that. Someone running a mini in the class told me that.

I tend to think BMWCCA isn't part of the program because BMWUSA is already trying to keep MINIUSA at arms reach. BMWCCA has been totally welcoming of the MINI, so I don't think it's a BMWCCA issue, really more likely BMWUSA would be the one with the problem.

My guess anyway.
