I know....remember, that's one thing I was considering to quiet mine down (actually had a whole JCW sitting in the garage). we looked at the pipe size differences and .25" is enough to complicate things.

Throw in some brown sugar and alcohol, and bananas foster it is. The wife will love it.

Jan's GP has a weight wet with driver of about 2675 lbs and 265 whp, giving it a power to weight ratio of 10.09. Plus the fact that the GP is on Hoosier R compounds. It's easy to see that Jan's time is about what one would expect with a driver with very little experience. Oh, and not to mention that the track has been repaved in places since the Cayman drove. So what we have is apples to oranges.
Something else to think about, the Cayman is about a $60,000 auto that if traded in would hold a high percentage of its valve. Jan's GP is probably also a $50,000 (or more) auto that would be hard to sell for any amount.
A side note, looking at the Cayman drivers foot work it's first rate; just what you'd expect from a pro.
So what car would you rather have? I'll take the Porsche.

With the Porsche we have lots of world class tuners with state of the art shops such as RUF, Tech Art, and 9ff. With the MINI the world class tuner works out of his house, enough said.
Why do people always gotta try and bring a brotha down?

well, it's much more satisfying for some to get waxed on the track in their 190whp Mini and complain about not having enough power than to actually have the power to beat the other car and not be able to do it because of skill set.....

strange..... but true

Oh and I forgot to mention that I was there the day after Jan ran on the track and these newly paved areas were slicker than snot compared to the older areas of the track compared to how they were before. It really made turn two a new experience.

exactly.... listen to the tires slide every time the car hits them

but let's not take away cheese dawgs only threads he has left to grasp on..... it has to be extremely discouraging that no matter how hard he tries to spit on the fire..... we continue to go faster each time out....

when his hero couldn't match times of our street cars with their race cars you would think reality would set in.....

then again.........................maybe not

I was actually pondering if you would put your car up on a show like chasing the touge to see how much it dominates

it's a well known fact you have doubted the times even though they have been proven over and over. Having shilled for LDG and dmh it's quite comical that many of their customers are now coming to RMW to get their cars set up so they can keep up with the other Mini's on the track.

It's also well known that Turner Motorsports was out there and couldn't run it in their race cars. The guys from Redline were there when they ran and told me so. He was even more amazed at the fact that I had 2 track days at the time..... so what is it? Faster cars or I'm a better driver than a professional?

times are changing....
