Who has improved their track time with springs?

hey everyone i was just wondering if aftermarket lowering springs with stock struts are going to help me improve my track time any...ive heard that many people has "felt" an improvement but that doesnt mean anything to me...because people can feel like they can take on the world after an exhaust setup or people can feel like theyre faster but are actually slower than before. So any experiences with track time are much appreciated...lemme apologize in advance if this topic has came up before but it seems like people in this forum are still confused and dont have a solid answer. oh i dont know how to make a poll so if anyone can create one regarding this topic it would be AWESOME!

I think the problem may be that most people who are fairly serious about tracking their cars go for coilovers, and with auto-x springs will bump you into a different class, at which point once again you're better off with coilovers anyhow (I could be mistaken, I'm not intimately familiar with the different classes of auto-x)

yea i believe you're right...so then how can anyone find out if springs really work besides using seat feel? because what youre saying is that it is possible for springs to improve track time but its not worth it for them to only install springs and not coilovers since they will be bumped into another class regardless of which they install. I guess the question might be who would install only springs and for what reason?

PS If anyone think that they know where im trying to get at and can think of a better question to ask please do.
