Almost DM Mini collecting dust in B.R.
Almost DM Mini collecting dust in B.R.
For those of you thinking about getting in to racing a Mini...
There is a race prepared '03 Mini with 1500 miles approx. sitting in Baton Rouge collecting dust. No, it is not my car.
It belongs to a felow I know who started to build a race Mini at the same time I did. He soon decided that racing was not for him and parked it.
I know that is is totally gutted, has an excellent weld-in cage, KW coil-overs, 15" SRW wheels etc...
Don't know if he even is interested in selling the car, he is a liittle unusual...
Anyway, it would certainly be an excellent platform to start from.
If interseted, I can get you more info.
I just would like to see someone else join the DM class with BMW club racing.
Just a thought,
Steve

This car belongs to aquaintence of mine in Baton Rouge. His car had 1200 miles on it when he started to turn it into a race car.
The fellows name is Ken Guidry, a long time Porsche machanic.
The car has a nice Chrome-molly weld-in cage, completely gutted.
As far as I know. it has KW coil overs, 15 x 7 light wheels with 225/45/15 hoosiers, headers, pulley etc....
He tried racing it about three or four times and lost interest.
Car would make a great platform for further development into D-mod or GTS-3 NASA. Engine probably has less than 1500 miles on it.
I have not spoken to Ken since May of 2004 however I know he stil has the car parked in his shop (Hydrocut).
It's worth looking into, shame to see it just sit there.
