I too may be registering, but likely at the last minute... you know self employment... If I don't work, I don't get paid or eat, and I already have 2 MINI weekends planned that month. Also, those of us with kids have the additional problem that school is in session.

MMW definitely took some interest from MORE, but it has a relatively light attendance compared to the Las Vegas trip in March. With both PDX MINI and REME doing many of the same roads in June has likely reduced the numbers coming from Oregon.

I have been watching the attendance of most club events declining everywhere this summer... maybe a little MINI burnout with the increase number of cars out there. We might be on the tail end of the swing.

No update info for this event.
Had to cancel this event because I will be joining several C3 members on the 27th of August. Destination will be Julian, AKA Apple Pie Country. May even meet up with WCM.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Motorswag has just rented a building in Los Angeles and communications have been difficult with DSL etc. We also attended MINI meet West over the last weekend and have hired 2 part time staff. to help with MS and with More.
MORE is not and will not be cancelled. I will post the list of confirmed attendees over the weekend. A few of us attendees at MMW discussed how good a small turnout could be. If you are indeed cancelling your rooms Please call me at 323-864-7410.

A more detailed update will follow.

 

Hey you caught me, really glad to hear from you we were all getting a little worried, I had decided to give it until the end of the weekend to see if we heard anything, so thanks for the response. I too thing a small group can be just as much fun. Thanks again for the response.

I'm glad to hear something. We are leaving Michigan on Friday 8/12 and if nothing had been said to verify, I would have canceled the room reservations etc... It's nice to know there are some die hard MINI people who hang in there till the last minute. I probably would have changed the basic route plan if MORE was canceled, but am glad it's not. Looking forward to doing 25 states in 25 days.

I will be bringing a laptop on the trip and will be checking in every couple days to see how things are shaping up.

MORE attendees and fence sitters. MORE will take place as planned beginning 8.25 with an evening casual gathering for dinner and drinks in Redding.
Location TBD but most probably the Best Western where I will be staying along with a few others.

We will leave at 8AM for Eureka. Maps and details will be distributed at the 8.25 meet or emailed to you if you tell me you cannot make the Redding meet-up. No PM 's please. emails only to WestCoastCoopers@gmail.com .

MORE updates to follow. I will be in UK from 8/12 through 8/19 so Tatiana or Kim will be available for replies to posts, and email to westcoastcoopers@gmail.com. No replies to PMs will happen regarding MORE due to my travel and unpredictable internet during the UK trip. Since turnout is so light we will not be insurin g this event and we will attend as individuals all responsible for our own actions , etc. Registration fees will be refunded this week by Friday and clothing purchases will be reviewed and you will receive an update on your order.

My sisters and I flew and drove to Cleveland on Thursday to find my mom losing her battle with breast cancer. She had been doing so well and had planned a vacation to the Jersey shore this past weekend when everything went wrong. We lost her on Friday morning and her funeral was yesterday. I've been travelling back and forth from Cleveland to LA as often as possible which has left MotorSwag and MORE a bit in the lurch at times over the past few months.


Though I didn't think it appropriate to mention Mom's illness here prior to this , I think you deserve a real accounting of MORE's cancellation and my unavailability of late. Mind you, all this means is that I cannot attend as I have family and personal business to attend to here in Cleveland and in London over the next 2 weeks. This doesnt mean you that have planned on attending should not go. I hope that you do go and tell me all about it.

I have spoken with Stacey at the Humboldt Bay Best Western and there will be no cancellation penalties if you give her 48 hours notice. I will refund all registrations and MORE purchases while I am travelling but it will take some time as all of your credit card info has expired in the system and I will need to do the refunds manually or by check to your shipping address.

I will also send an email to the attendees in case they don't see this post. As stated before I'm still making the MORE shirts and will let you know when they are ready.
