I don't really think a dealer is going to wait 24 hrs. before installing plugs.
In 45+ years I have NEVER had a plug blow out on any car, motorcycle, boat, lawn mower or any other motorized item.
I would suspect the types of plugs and where they are manufactured. I have never used a "Japenese" plug in my life nor will I ever do so.
Right now I have Brisk plugs in the Mini. Very happy with them. Also have used Bosch, Champion, KLH plugs in the past.
Do my own maintenice work. Why? Don't trust anybody else doing it. When the torque is 22lbs that is what it's suppose to be, not 19 or 26.
Did anybody think of what effects a SC has on air pressure inside of cylinder?

MY OEM Plug blew last night
I have a 2006 Cooper S and was driving home last night when POP one of my plugs blew. I have OEM plugs and have never done any modifications so it's not isolated to aftermarket plugs. It's at the dealer right now and I am waiting for a quote. I am hoping it's able to be fixed with a helicoil and not a major task.

This just happened to my Mini, I have never run anything inside the car but NGK plugs. The stock ones until 80K, then replacement stock NGK and Friday night at 123K my far passenger side plug blew out of the engine. I was pulling out from a light, normal driving, with my Dad in the car, was at about 15 mph and Boom!
Looking into insert repair.
