R61 To buy or not to buy !!!
To buy or not to buy !!!
This is my first post !! I want to introduce myself I own a 2011 cooper S cabrio and I really love it but it's my daily driver and must admit it's not practical and the comfort it's something I miss !!! My dealer have a paceman JCW with all the equipment 19 wheels and a very good price I'm thinking in a trade it's a lot bigger ( for a mini ) and more practical but I have a few doubts
what do you think about comfort ??
It's a good buy ??I mean is so slow on sales and maybe it's not going to continue in the line so it's going to depreciate a lot ??
Thanks for your advice and sorry for my English

I say buy
Our Paceman All4 is our third MINI and is by far the most comfortable. The extra length and weight smooths out a lot of the bumps. The 19" wheels really look good on this car although if your are looking for comfort the 17" or 18" might give a smoother ride. I have the 18" and think it rides fine but then I also have a Clubman on sport springs so am used to a harder ride. The only negative I have for the Paceman is that the rear seats do not fold flat but stop at about a 30% angle. Our dogs don't care, they get along with the not quite flat floor just fine and it has not been a problem hauling anything we have wanted to put in it.
I never give resale a thought when I buy a car because I usually drive them for 9 or 10 years by which time they usually are not worth much. I think given time and exposure the Paceman sales will be fine but now is the time to buy while the dealers are working to move them. It has good handling, better looks than a Countryman, decent power, and will go through a 12" snow like it's not even there. I think you will enjoy the JCW package. I love the JCW exhaust sound and the Paceman can use the extra HP.

A change in my plans
Thanks for yours opinions, but I´m a little dissapointed after the new test drive a very noisy and not so comfy ride, waiting to do a test drive of the new seat cupra, great engine, cheaper to buy and to keep, and also VW quality
Did you test drive the JCW? The JCW exhaust is much louder than the standard exhaust and the 19" wheels will give you a harsher ride. Our Paceman is much quieter than either of our MINI's have been. As a whole I have noticed that MINI's are not as quiet as other cars.
I totally agree on the harsh ride with the 19 rims and sport suspension, most of the road noise comes from the OEM RFT's.
Both suspensions on the Paceman are stiffer than what comes on the Countryman, it's very notable when you drive both with the same wheel and suspension packages.
