I have an interview tomorrow, and while I am quite familiar with the hatchbacks, I'm not too up to speed on the other models. If you could please help me:
1. What made you choose the Paceman over other models? The Paceman is the model i am least familiar with.
2. What trim did you choose (Justa, S, or JCW)?
3. Which options were most important to you?
THANK YOU! I would appreciate your help....

For me it was about style and use. I knew I wanted more back seat room for my kid than the normal mini had, and I wanted AWD so that made it either the Paceman or the Countryman. The Paceman had a sportier look to me than the countryman and I only use the back seats occasionally so it fit the bill. I went with the JCW for the performance.

I had accepted a job at a location that was on a big hill, so I was looking at all4. My family are very anti-suburu, so that wasn't an option. I am a fan of german engineering (coming from a VW) but audi's are too expensive. Mini/BMW was my next option. I went through the configurator and found all the toys I wanted: Heated seats, PDC, Nav, auto headlights and wipers, voice control. I wanted two doors specifically, so the paceman was perfect.

I fell in love when they came out with the auto show green prototype edition a few years ago. I wanted an AWD with a 6 speed manual and a hatchback with two doors.
There's only one other car where you can get this combination; the VW Golf R. The Golf R is somewhat limited on the years it was produced. A new model comes out next year and VW will only import a four door. This will make the Paceman the one and only two door hatchback, AWD, 6 speed manual in the US.
My JCW is on order since the middle of January, hopefully it gets here soon.

We chose the Paceman because my wife has to be able to get to work regardless of the weather. We tried other SUVs and all wheel drive cars but none of them felt right. We wanted something that will not only handle a foot of snow but can also make me smile taking a curvy back road. Neither of us liked the looks of the Countryman but thought the Paceman is at least as good looking as our Clubman if not better.
2. What trim did you choose (Justa, S, or JCW)?
We chose the S All4. If we order another I might go for a JCW. It could use that little extra kick.
3. Which options were most important to you?
For this car the All4 was the top of the list but we would not get a MINI without Xenon headlights, Cold weather package, and Sport package.

Seems most of us all wanted the same thing.
1. Manual Transmission and AWD capabilities
2. Something Hatchback so I can fit the dogs and gear and groceries
3. I ended up loving the 3 year 36k no worries warranty and service
4. Basically a bmw which meant bmw financing and easy to trade in for another mini or bmw.
I bought the Cooper S All4, probably should have gone JCW for another $20 a month but didnt think of it at the time. Packages are in my signature that I chose.

1. I wanted a sporty driving coupe that performed well on the highway, fun to drive in the twisties, a good daily driver with seating for four if needed, lots of cargo space to handle any adventure for two, and ability to get off the beaten path to go places generally reserved for SUV’s only.
2. Purchased an “S” because I could get a loaded out “S” for around the base price of a JCW.
3. Xeon lights, Automotive with manual shift and wheel paddle shifters, Harman Kardon Sound system with Sirius XM, Automatic Climate Control, Dual Sunroof, Front Center Arm Rest, Sport Package and Comfort Suspension.

I traded in a 2008 hardtop for my 2013 paceman. I'm a huge fan of MINI, but needed more practicality. I'm in college so storage space and still being able to carry 4 people was important. Also being able to get to/from the mountains in the snow yet still being able to enjoy the quick nimble-ness of a mini at the track. ALL4 S Paceman was a perfect fit. On top of that I love how it looks and the fact that there is very few out there. It gets a lot of looks and comments from random strangers, all positive!
Like I said above, I've got an ALL4 S.
Xenon Adaptive lights, heated seats, sunroof, and manual transmission were make it/break it requirements. I also wanted XM and Auto Climate control (which mine does have). I drove 350 miles to a dealer that had a car with everything I wanted. Well, almost. I wanted sport suspension as well, but nothing a set of lowing springs couldn't fix.

I liked the looks of the Paceman from the first time I saw the concept car. I also like 'different', and the Paceman is certainly that, even among MINIs which are already a little quirky. And I don't need four doors, but I did need a little more room than I had in the hardtop, and I really wanted AWD for these miserable winters. I just had to have it.

i was looking for a sporty AWD hatch to replace my 2002 Subaru WRX. surprised to find the MINI Paceman had an ALL4 version and decided to check it out. there are very few AWD sports out there that can compete with the WRX, but i think the Paceman will do quite well. it 'feels' much quicker and tighter anyway, although maybe my WRX was a bit long in the tooth.
i'm in the same boat as JCWBlu, maybe literally
i ordered my 2014 JCW Paceman in Dec and am still waiting on a production date.
