Need help on Paceman color combination
Greetings,
I have my 2014 JCW Paceman on order and am waiting for it to go into production. I'm currently going with Starlight Blue with a white top with white hood stripes. I'm trying to decide if the black top and black hood stripes would look better with the black standard JCW wheels. Can anybody out there who has the Starlight Blue with a black top and black hood stripes post some photos for me to view? I only have a short time before I can contact the dealer to make this change.
Thanks, very much appreciated.

I was thinking about future MINI purchase when the time come to replace my '07. Although I like my current color scheme I'm considering doing something much different in regards to strips / accents that would make "my MINI" even more personal to me.
There are many companies that specialize in various automotive stripes and decals. Many different designs and colors. Just do an internet search on car strips to get some ideas.
Sorry - just something for you to consider to help confuse the design process

Thanks for the striping info. It's difficult to view an online picture of the vehicle and get an accurate feeling of what the car will actually look like in person. I'll just probably stick with the ordered main blue color with a white roof and hood stripe.

veggivet,
I just saw your Paceman on the Starlight Blue thread; very nice. That's what mine will look like when it comes over from Graz. Except I ordered the JCW model with the different wheels. The blue and white looks fine even with the black wheels. Is yours a '13 or '14? I'm assuming with a manual tranny.

The blue of my Clubman is close to the Starlight blue on the Paceman. I got the black top and put black stripes on it. The stripes almost disappear into the paint.

I changed the all black stripes to black with white pinstripes and it made them stand out.

I prefer the white top with white stripes.

Thanks for the photos; I prefer the white as well. It's more of a contrast which brings out the blue more. On another topic, what's the latest for the newer models regarding the carbon coking problem on the valve stems? I haven't been able to find anything on this site concerning this problem on the newer cars. Has this problem been corrected?
Hey JCWBlu, We went through the same process but opted for the Starlight Blue with Black Roof and Mirrors. Just have this adversion to White Roofs.(don't know why but.....) Great roads where you are. I lived in the Northwest Hills of CT for 24 years before I moved to PA. Never drove those roads with a MINI.
