R60/R61 Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for R60 AND R61 MINI Cooper and Cooper S MINIs.
I couldn't find a thread listing Service Bulletins for the R60, so attached is a PDF listing bulletin number, title, affected series (filtered for only R60) and revision date. This is sorted by original publish date, which can be decoded from the bulletin number. For example, the first entry 36 01 19 TIRE PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM is for Group 36 (tires) and was the first bulletin (01) of 2019 (19). This bulletin was updated 2021-12-16 per the right column. The below screen capture is a page from the technician training literature explaining Service Bulletins. Your local dealer has access to these or if you are in North America you can create an account pay for access here: https://minitechinfo.bmwgroup.com/#/login
Several of the "fixes" are updated software, so it's important to know your I-Level number (Integration Level). The most recent I-Level for R056 vehicles (R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60, R61) is R056-17-03-504 as of ISTA/P 3.68.1, which would have come out around March 2017. I'm running older R056-16-11-500 and there appears to be newer software for my CHAMP2 head unit and Hi-Fi AMP, but I don't have any issues, so I'll leave it be.
